2018 Best Bexley Business for Customer Service!

After a process that started back in April this year, on Wednesday evening 27th June, Crayford Stadium was voted as the Best Business for Customer Service at the Bexley Business Awards, held at a Gala dinner in Hall Place Gardens.

This success comes after the stadium first entered the Bexley Awards in 2017, where Crayford Stadium was also voted as the Best Business for Food, Hospitality and Leisure.

John Nightingale (Bar & Catering Manager) along with Jamie Norris (Marketing Sales Support Officer) were involved in the 3 step process for the 2018 awards, leading up to the Gala Dinner and had this to say after winning the second award in two years;

'This is a great achievement for everyone involved at Crayford. I never thought that we would possibly go all the way and win, especially in a category as broad as customer service. It really goes to show that the hard work the staff put in shift after shift really does pay off!' - Jamie Norris

'We weren't expecting to win! It's recognition of what all our staff do - it genuinely means a lot!' - John Nightingale

It was a very fitting way to win an award this year as the Stadium prepares to say goodbye in the coming months to the Stadium Operations Manager, Diana Illingworth, who has served over 30 years service at the track. Diana was present at the awards evening and had this to say;

'It means everything because we employ 120 staff. We want our customers coming back time and time again so it's important to us that we get that right. The majority of our customers are local people and they have been coming to us for years - it almost becomes a family orientated event.'
